ARLINGTON — The Cowboys made a change in their wide receiver room for Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

Wide receiver Jalen Tolbert, a former third round pick, was a healthy scratch for the first time this season. In place of Tolbert, the Cowboys had fellow receiver Jonathan Mingo active for the first time this season.

Mingo impressed in preseason before he suffered a knee injury that kept him out for the majority of the season. He’s been on the active roster but inactive on game day for the previous three games.

Tolbert led the team in receiving touchdowns last season, but he’s seen a regression in production this season. He has 14 catches for 172 yards and a touchdown on the year. Tolbert will be a free agent after this season.

Sunday was the first time Tolbert was inactive since 2022.

Mingo played in eight games for the Cowboys after they traded a fourth-round pick to acquire him from Carolina. Last season he had five catches for 46 yards with Dallas.

In addition, the Cowboys also made running back Jaydon Blue inactive for the third-straight game. Offensive lineman Hakeem Adeniji, defensive tackle Jay Toia, and defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey were also inactive.

The Cowboys did have both defensive tackle Solomon Thomas and defensive end Jadeveon Clowney active. Thomas missed last game (calf), and Clowney was listed as questionable on the injury report with shoulder injury designations.
