FORT WORTH – Elsie “Dee” Sheffield Helm, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Funeral Service: 12 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; with a visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Reception: 1 – 3 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Room. Born as the youngest of seven, Dee was the last surviving member of the Sheffield brothers and sisters. A devoted wife, Dee shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Bobby Ray Helm. A lifelong fan of the Texas Rangers and Aggie football, she cherished time watching her favorite teams play. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. Dee was preceded in death by her beloved husband; her daughter, Dinah; and two sons-in-law. She is lovingly remembered by daughters, Debi Levins and Dee Lynn Aguilar; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Community Healthcare of Texas – Providence Hospice for their compassionate care.
