LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Professional Firefighter’s Association is seeking public input as it considers switching its work schedule.
Joseph Wallace, president of the association, said the change would reduce the burden on firefighters and potentially add new jobs.
“Yes, they’re going to work less and get paid the same, but aren’t they worth it? I mean, they’re willing to risk their lives for perfect strangers and willingly. They have no problem doing that. We’re asking you to support us. That’s it,” Wallace said.
We’ll take a closer look at this proposal, and consider how it could improve not only their health, but their performance on the job.
