Richardson trash collection, facility hours impacted by Thanksgiving

Richardson residents can expect a change to the city’s trash collection and city facility schedules for Thanksgiving, according to a news release from the city.

The specifics

There will be no trash, recycling or brush and bulky item pickup (BABIC) on Nov. 27 or 28.

There will be no makeup days for trash collection or BABIC, and regularly scheduled pickup will resume Dec. 1. Recycling pickup scheduled for Nov. 27 and Nov. 28 will now take place on Nov. 26 and Nov. 29, respectively.

The following city facilities will be closed Nov. 27 and 28:

Animal ShelterCity Hall and City Hall AnnexGymnastics CenterLibraryMunicipal CourtRichardson IQHQService CenterSenior CenterThe Eisemann Center, Heights and Huffhines Recreation Centers will be closed Nov. 27 with updated hours Nov. 28. Additionally, Sherrill Park Golf Course and the city’s tennis center will be closed Nov. 27.
