DALLAS – Two people are dead, and others were hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting in Downtown Dallas early Monday morning, according to police.

What we know

The shooting occurred in the parking lot near a nightclub club on Commerce Street near South Harwood Street around 2 a.m.

Dallas police said a confrontation between two people who knew each other started inside the club and spilled over to an adjacent parking lot. Multiple people were hit by gunfire before at least one responding officer fired shots at the suspect.

“I can confirm an officer-involved shooting occurred as officers confronted an armed suspect during a disturbance where multiple people were shot,” said Dallas Police Assistant Chief Terrence Rhodes. “The suspect died at the scene. One victim died at the scene. And several injured people were taken to the hospital. No officers are injured.”

Reporters described the crime scene as extensive, with the investigation spanning several blocks.

There was also a shattered glass window at the Studio Eleven Design building next to the parking lot where the shooting started.

What we don’t know

The identities of the victims and the officers involved have not been released.

Police said they are also still trying to determine exactly how many people were injured and whether any of those people were struck by police gunfire.

Their investigation is ongoing.

Dallas Municipal Court Building Closed

Due to the ongoing police investigation into an overnight officer-involved shooting adjacent to the Dallas Municipal Court building, the Municipal Court will be closed on Monday. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 7:30 a.m.
