November 2025 Status Update
White Horse Trail to US 183
Construction is anticipated to begin winter 2025/2026 on approximately 2.7 linear miles of rescoped corridor mobility improvements for Burnet Road from Koenig Lane (RM 2222) to US 183 including construction of sidewalks, shared-use paths, curb and gutter, minimal driveway reconstruction and upgraded traffic signal infrastructure and improvements at priority intersections.
US 183 to Bright Verde Way
Construction anticipated to begin spring 2026 on safety and mobility improvements, including:
new eight-foot wide shared-use pathsADA-compliant bus stopscurb and gutter installationpavement rehabilitation, new pavement markings and signageintersection and traffic signal improvements at Research Boulevard, Waterford Center Boulevard, Longhorn Boulevard and Rutland Drivedriveway reconstructionutility adjustmentsdrainage improvements will incorporate stormwater detention and water quality structures, with landscaping enhancements adding trees and greenery along the new pedestrian and bikeway facilities
Bright Verde Way to MoPac Expressway
Construction is anticipated to start in summer 2026 on approximately 1.5 linear miles of corridor mobility improvements for Burnet Road from Bright Verde Way to MoPac Expressway, including:
