All sorts of magical holiday experiences are in store this winter in DFW. From rooftop winter wonderlands, Bavarian Christmas markets, and dazzling light displays, Yuletide cheer is in full force in North Texas. When mapping out your Christmas list this year, be sure to pencil in a visit to Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, home to the one-of-a-kind Christmas Cruise.
The Christmas Light Cruise is an experience from The Wave Party Boat, otherwise known as the largest barge in Texas. Now during the holiday season, The Wave is hosting an exceptionally magical Christmas Cruise, wear visitors can take their holiday spirit to the open seas.

Timed at 60 minutes, the Christmas Cruise whisks spirited sailors across Joe Pool Lake, where passengers can marvel at the enchanting Prairie Lights at Lynn Creek Park. The boat itself is a sight to be seen. Decked out in myriad twinkling lights, the boat will be spinning holiday jams while offering cookies and hot chocolate on board. If the latter isn’t enough to warm you up, the boat will also have heaters to keep things cozy.
For a more spirited experience of the DFW Christmas Cruise, the boat is also BYOB. The boat will have a cooler on-site to hold your stock.
Christmas Cruise Charters in Grand Prairie will operate twice each available night during the holiday season, according to the website. Tickets for the experience are priced at $25 per adult passenger, and $10 per child passenger (ages 13 and under). Cruises are scheduled Friday through Sunday at 7 pm and 8 pm.

The Wave Party Boat also offers Private Christmas Cruises for parties between 25 and 75, offered once day during the winter season. Prices for private cruises are the same as the above, but with a 25% gratuity charge.
For the experience, the company recommends passengers bring warm clothing, drinks (if you want), and chairs. The experience is located at 5700 Lakeridge Parway in Grand Prairie.
Tickets can be purchased through The Wave Party Boat website.
