AUSTIN, Texas — Austin’s New Year’s celebration will usher in 2026 with food, a drone show and headlining band The Head and The Heart at the city’s iconic Auditorium Shores.
The City of Austin announced Monday that the free event will occur Wednesday, Dec. 31 from 7 p.m. to midnight. Along with The Head and The Heart, performers Chaparelle, The Point and Tameca Jones will also take the stage.
A drone show, presented by Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, will light up the sky at 11:40 p.m. and serve as a pre-show to the midnight fireworks.
Attendees can purchase food and drinks from local food trucks, which will be announced in December.
“This celebration captures what makes Austin so special — a place where everyone can come together to enjoy great music, local food and a sense of belonging as we welcome a new year,” Mayor Kirk Watson said in the announcement.
