LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – City officials are celebrating the start of a project included in the voter-approved 2022 street bond.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Milwaukee Avenue project from 4th Street to north city limits Tuesday afternoon.
The project will widen Milwaukee Ave. from a two-lane undivided roadway to a five-lane undivided roadway with a two-way left turn. Sidewalks, drainage improvements, illumination and traffic signals are also included in the project.
The $200 million bond will help fund 17 total projects.
