As Thanksgiving week finally arrives in Lake Highlands, neighbors may be wondering what options they have for last-minute cranberry sauce runs.

Police are warnings shoppers after muggings in 5 parking lots.

Fortunately, several major grocers in the neighborhood will keep doors open for the holiday, albeit with shortened hours. Most small businesses around the neighborhood will also close for  Thanksgiving, with some like Cedar and Vine staying shuttered through Black Friday.

So, without further ado, here’s what will be open in the neighborhood this Thursday.

Kroger: Open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The grocer has shortened its hours for the holiday, and the pharmacy is expected to be closed.

Kroger locations in Lake Highlands are located at 10677 E Northwest Highway and 9140 Forest Lane.

Tom Thumb: Open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location in Lake Highlands: 8698 Skillman St.

Sprout’s: Open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Location in Lake Highlands: 7110 Skillman St.

Closed: Target, Walmart, Aldi and most local restaurants and shops.

Some local bars like Tailgater’s Sports Bar and Grill will be open with limited hours (call for more information). Lake Highlands Cafe will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
