LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The front reached the southern parts of the area around 11 a.m. on Tuesday. High temperatures topped out in the upper 60s today, just a few degrees cooler than those experienced on Monday.

Tonight, high pressure will settle in, causing winds to become light and variable. Overnight lows are expected to drop to freezing or below in most locations, while the southeastern areas will remain warmer, with lows in the mid-30s.

The most noticeable change will occur on Wednesday when highs are projected to average in the mid-50s across the region. Winds will shift to the south by Wednesday afternoon. There may be light breezy conditions in the northwestern areas by mid to late Wednesday.
Thursday’s Thanksgiving forecast is quiet with morning lows in the 30s and then afternoon highs back into the mid-60s.
