December brings exciting opportunities to gather and celebrate the holiday season. The ArtCentre of Plano is thrilled to collaborate with other local arts organizations to provide rich experiences in theatre, fine art, music, and dining. These events highlight the vibrant arts community and offer residents a chance to enjoy the season in a dynamic setting.

Suzy Jones, Executive Director of the ArtCentre of Plano, said, “These events exemplify the close relationships shared by Plano’s arts organizations. We are delighted to support the artists involved and to celebrate the holiday season in such a dynamic manner.” The ArtCentre encourages the community to explore the variety of arts events scheduled throughout the month.

One highlight is the Opening Night for NTPA’s 15th Annual Christmas Tradition on Thursday, December 11. Guests are invited to the ArtCentre for snacks and refreshments from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a short walk across the street to the Courtyard Theatre for the 7:15 p.m. performance of Scrooge – The Musical.

NTPA’s production of Scrooge – The Musical is the longest-running musical Christmas Carol in Texas. Its Scrooge is the longest-performing Scrooge in the state, appearing for the 125th time on opening night. This makes the show a unique and cherished holiday tradition in Plano.
