Bank of America is committing $100,000 to the Tarrant Area Food Bank and $100,000 to the North Texas Food Bank as part of its $5 million effort to address hunger across the United States. “At Bank of America, we are committed to being a community partner who shows up in North Texas,” said Jennifer Chandler, Bank of America Dallas President.

“We recognized the urgent need to address food insecurity here in North Texas and across the country, which is why we have committed $100,000 to both the North Texas Food Bank and Tarrant Area Food Bank to provide immediate assistance. This support builds upon years of giving, volunteering, and partnership with both organizations that provide for our most vulnerable residents.”

The recipients of this immediate relief are $100,000 to the Tarrant Area Food Bank and $100,000 to the North Texas Food Bank. Nationwide, Bank of America is delivering $5 million to support families and individuals experiencing urgent food needs. These funds will be distributed to nearly 100 nonprofit organizations currently addressing increasing needs at the local level.

In addition, Bank of America has committed $250 million over the next five years to address food insecurity across American communities. The initiative builds on the company’s long-standing support for more than 1,200 organizations focused on combating hunger and related needs.

Employees of Bank of America plan to volunteer more than 100,000 hours through the end of the year to assist organizations focused on hunger relief and other critical services. The company will also match employee contributions, dollar for dollar, to organizations combating hunger in the communities it serves.

“Our ongoing commitment to the needs of the local communities where we work and live is foundational to who we are at Bank of America,” said Sheri Bronstein, Chief People Officer. “We work closely with food banks, food pantries, and other basic-needs focused organizations every day, and this new commitment builds on decades of giving, volunteering, and partnership.”
