The Washington Huskies are continuing to make headway with some of their top targets at wide receiver in the 2027 class.
On Tuesday morning, four-star wide receiver Julian Caldwell, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 58 overall prospect and No. 11 player at his position by the 247Sports Composite, narrowed his whopping 40 offers down to 12, listing the Huskies alongside Miami, Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas, Texas Tech, USC, and several others remaining in the hunt for his services.
The 6-foot, 185-pound product of Argyle High School in Texas is a promising athlete who posted personal bests on the track of 10.92 in the 100-meter dash and 22-6 in the long jump during his sophomore season.
That athleticism translated over to the football field, where in 2024, he also put up 21 catches for 581 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings have done an impressive job of keeping the Huskies involved with some of the nation’s top players at the position, and Caldwell joins several other high-end prospects around the country who are highly considering. Four-star wide receivers Osani Gayles and Zerek Sidney also appear to be keeping tabs on what Jedd Fisch is building, as the 2027 prospects have added Washington to their top ten and top five lists, respectively.
