“Cowhide Med Spa is where global experience meets Texas soul,” says founder Tanya Talreja.

A new boutique wellness destination has opened in Plano, offering a mix of day-spa services, salon treatments and medical aesthetics under one roof. Cowhide Med Spa, founded by internationally known spa executive Tanya Talreja, began welcoming clients this month.

The 1,200-square-foot space includes four treatment suites and a salon area. According to the business, the layout was designed to allow guests to book multiple services in a single visit, from facials and massages to hair care, nail services and medical procedures such as injectables, microneedling and laser hair removal.

Talreja, who has spent nearly two decades developing spa concepts in 19 countries, said her goal was to blend high-end service standards with design cues inspired by Texas. The interiors incorporate cowhide textures, warm lighting and aromatherapy. Each service begins with what the spa describes as a brief breathing ritual intended to set the tone for the appointment.

Before launching her first standalone flagship, Talreja worked on wellness projects for global hotel brands including Westin, Sheraton, Marriott and Hilton, as well as spa facilities for royal households in the Middle East. She also leads GSD INTL Corporation, a consultancy focused on luxury spa development.

Cowhide Med Spa’s offerings fall into three categories: traditional day-spa treatments such as massages and body scrubs; salon and barber services including cuts, color and makeup; and medical spa procedures overseen by licensed providers. The business also notes ongoing support for local charitable initiatives, including participation in the Dallas Crystal Charity Ball.

Talreja said Plano’s continued population growth and demand for wellness services made it the right location for the concept.

Cowhide Med Spa is located in the Cloister Square shopping center at 2755 W 15th St. and is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays.
