A vibrant new exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Benefit the Creator opens Dec. 5
The ArtCentre of Plano is kicking off the season with a bold burst of color. Beginning December 5, the historic gallery will showcase Technicolored Cowboy, a vivid and imaginative exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Benefit the Creator, also known as Be De Cre.
Through playful symbolism, bright palettes and bold-stroke compositions, his work celebrates the inner child and invites viewers to reconnect with joy, curiosity and creative wonder.
An Artist Who Explores The Inner Child
Benefit the Creator describes himself as an Earth-dwelling, multidisciplinary technicolored cowboy poet, most recently known for creating vibrant, bold-stroke paintings on the marriage between basic figures and complicated narratives.
These childlike creations willfully depict his energetic cache of clean-handed curiosity and concern — work that explores the incorporation of language and symbolism in a visual landscape. His ideas exist in colorful constructions of figures, patterns and words that invite viewers to revisit the innocent mentality of a joy-riddled youth.

A Visual Experience Designed To Spark Joy
In Technicolored Cowboy, guests can expect a dynamic mix of expressive colors, rhythmic patterns and storytelling. The pieces explore the innocence and curiosity of childhood, the pressures and trials of adulthood, the tension between joy and adversity, and the ways art can revive a playful, imaginative view of the world.
The exhibition encourages viewers to reconnect with the lighter, more creative parts of themselves.
