North-of-downtown shopping and dining destination the Pearl is taking the holiday spirit one step further this year by operating its first-ever outdoor ice-skating rink.

The rink, located adjacent to 1100 Springs Plaza next to Stable Hall, will open this Friday and remain in operation through Sunday, Jan. 4, according to officials with the development. Admission starts at $20 and tickets are available via an online portal

“The holidays are a time for gathering and joy, and Pearl is honored to be part of those traditions,” Pearl CEO Mesha Millsap said in a statement. “The addition of a new ice-skating rink offers a beautiful way for the community to come together, celebrate, and create lasting memories in the heart of San Antonio.”

Folks attending the rink’s opening night can also enjoy the Pearl’s holiday tree lighting ceremony from 3:30-7 p.m., followed by the first-ever Taste of Pearl Festival, a property-wide celebration featuring live music, culinary experiences, art and shopping.
