Artist INC Express, a touring professional development workshop for artists in all media, will be hosted in El Paso February 21-22, 2026.

The popularity of Artist INC events, a program of the Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA), is evident in that a February 6-8, 2026, statewide virtual workshop and a May 16-17, 2026, in-person workshop in San Antonio have already reached capacity.

The two-day, 10-hour workshop at the Mexican American Cultural Center in El Paso will accept 25 artists age 18 or over who live within a 75-minute radius of the city. The deadline for registration is Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 5 p.m. MST.

As stated on the workshop website, Artist INC Express participants are asked to commit to the entire 10-hour workshop, with an additional one hour of homework, as exercises build on one another and participants develop deep relationships with their fellow artists over the two sessions.

Three experienced artist facilitators will lead workshop participants through topics, including goal setting, funding an artistic practice, marketing and branding, developing an elevator speech about your work, advice on building long-term professional relationships, and creating a biography, artist statement, and resume/CV. Activities include group discussions, hands-on exercises, and small group work.

Artist INC Express is a streamlined version of the original Artist INC eight-week training seminar, which accepts 25 artists through an application process. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, the program has served more than 1,500 artists from 14 different communities in seven states over its 16 years.
