In what seems like a very bad idea, a Texas man looking to become famous on Tiktok went viral for handing out machetes, along with free liquor to homeless people in Austin.
Free Machetes and Liquor
According to Current Revolt, Kieth Castillo is a man from Corpus Christi who is in the business of becoming an “influencer” on TikTok and Instagram. He recently traveled to Austin where he filmed himself passing out free liquor, cigarettes, and machetes to area homeless.
Castillo, who goes by povwolfy on social media went viral for posting videos of himself “Keeping the homeless in the streets” and handing out the machetes.

Machete Attacks in Austin
According to Current Revolt, two people were hurt in October when they fought each other in Austin with machetes. In 2023, a security guard at an Austin hotel was severely injured by a homeless person armed with a machete.
Castillo Doing It For The Clicks, No Regrets
According to the NY Post, Castillo has been doing this in Austin, New Orleans and Little Rock and plans to do so in New York City. And no, he doesn’t think twice about the harm it could do.
Castillo also doesn’t think he is doing anything immoral and believes the homeless people will not use the blades to hurt him or anyone else.
“These are for, like, tool purposes. They have zero intent for what people are claiming they want to do with the [machetes],” Castillo said.
He expressed no second thoughts on handing out alcohol to potential substance abusers.
“Honestly I really don’t care bro, it’s good for the clicks and views, you know,” Castillo said. “Gotta do what we have to do so we eat.”
Knife and blade rules differ from state to state, so it’s possible that Castillo could be breaking the law in some areas.
