The Arizona Wildcats’ 23-7 win over the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Territorial Cup knocked ASU out of contention to repeat as Big 12 champions.

However, the 9-3 Wildcats and 8-4 Sun Devils are both eligible for bowl games.

The last time both schools won at least six regular season games was in 2017, when Arizona lost in the Foster Farms Bowl and ASU fell in the Sun Bowl.

This will be the final year that Arizona State and Arizona will have Pac-12 Bowl assignments. Their possible bowl games will be switched to Big 12 assignments starting next season.

Outside of the Alamo Bowl, all potential assignments will be new next season. These include the Pop-Tarts Bowl, Texas Bowl, Liberty Bowl, Independence Bowl and the Rate Bowl played at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix.
