CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO (KFOX14/CBS4) — The System for the Integral Development of the Family of the Municipality of Juárez is inviting the public to experience the “Navidad a lo Mexa” Christmas Village at the DIF park this holiday season.
It will be held from Dec. 7 to Jan. 6.
Ana Paula Martínez García, Coordinator of Communication for the Municipal DIF, announced that the event will capture the magic of being Mexican, inspired by the tradition of a Mexican “posada.”
The village will feature lights, music, gastronomy, and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Attractions include daily children’s shows at 6 p.m., musical Christmas plays at 7 p.m., an ice rink, and a themed tour inspired by the Chihuahua al Pacífico train.
The Christmas Village will be open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
City Secretary Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel highlighted the event’s success in previous years, stating, “We are seeking to reclaim these spaces so that, as a community and as families, we can make Juárez different and better.”
