After a 27-17 defeat to the Longhorns, then-ranked No. 3 A&M fell to No. 7 in this week’s AP Poll and US LBM Coaches Poll. It was the second-largest drop of the week (No. 18 Tennessee fell six spots in the AP rankings and out of the coaches poll completely).

Ohio State and Indiana continue to be ranked Nos. 1-2. A&M is now the third-highest-ranked SEC team in the country.

A&M still will likely make the CFP and is awaiting the announcement of it’s first-round opponent.
