TEXAS — The Central Texas Community Foundation (CTXCF) has started the distribution of funds raised in the aftermath of the Fourth of July floods across the state.

Round one of the funds was raised via the efforts Travis County CARES and WilCo CARES, as well as the proceeds generated by the benefit concert Together Texas.

According to the CTXCF website, $3.35 million was raised because of those events and organizations and was prioritized specifically for those affected the most.

“The regional leadership on the committee reviewed all applications, prioritizing applicants with the highest level of impact and lowest incomes to ensure that funds are allocated fairly and responsibly in line with community needs,” the site said.

There will be a second round of donations distributed, and the the application process for the donations will end on Jan. 31.

More information about the donations and applications can be found on the CTXCF website
