LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock Area United Way has surpassed its fundraising goal this year with the help of local businesses, its partners and community members.
The organization said it reached nearly 103 percent of its target, raising more than $5 million. The funds will allow it to impact the lives of more than 104,000 people across the South Plains next year.
Campaign Chair Meredith Imes shared the news at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center this afternoon.
“Every dollar entrusted to United Way helps build a stronger, safer, and healthier South Plains,” Imes said.
