Panhandle Police Chief Sace Hardman says the family reported the couple also had trouble finding their way to Panhandle before eventually arriving for the holiday.
Chief Hardman says tips have been sent in from surrounding states, but there has been no official sighting of the couple.
Hardman says they have reached out to Toyota who checked the Toyota Safety Connect which failed to find a connection to the couple’s car.
New Mexico State Police and Quay County officials have conducted searches using helicopters and drones.
Linda and Gary Lightfoot drive a silver 2024 Toyota Camry with Texas license plate TWN0925.
Officials say the couple’s health and safety is considered at risk due to Gary being oxygen dependent.
