LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A memorial service will be held for Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Arlo, who passed away last month after suffering from cardiac arrest during a routine training exercise.
LSO will hold services Wednesday afternoon starting with an escort from Live Oak Animal Hospital at 98th and Slide at 1 p.m.
The escort will travel down main street passed the courthouse and stop at the LSO Academy where the memorial will take place at 1:30 p.m.
Arlo was the oldest working K-9 and expected to retire in early 2026. K-9 Arlo started with LSO in December 2021.
After the services, a memorial wreath will be placed in the public lobby of the Sheriff’s Office until December 8 for public viewing.
