EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso community showed up in force Saturday morning, quickly selling out a pozole fundraiser for Annie Rendon, a local woman battling Stage 4 colon cancer.

Family and friends set up at the intersection of Montwood and Rich Beem, selling the traditional Mexican stew to help cover Rendon’s treatment costs.

By 10:20 a.m., the scene was filled with supporters answering the call to help. The fundraiser proved so successful that all the pozole sold out quickly, demonstrating the community’s strong support for Rendon in her fight.

The family expressed gratitude for the overwhelming community response through their quick sell-out.
