HOUSTON – Houston police have released a video months after a man was pepper-sprayed and then hit by a car, hoping someone will recognize the vehicle, the Houston Police Department says.
The incident happened June 18 on Crocker Street near the Montrose area. Investigators are asking for help identifying the driver of a dark-colored Kia Soul.
In the video, a man is standing on the corner when a car slowly pulls up. The driver sticks his arm out the window and appears to spray something into the man’s eyes.
HPD wants to ID the driver of this dark-colored Kia Soul. The driver pepper sprayed a man on June 18 on Crocker St.
The man, who couldn’t see, fell in the street & was struck by a vehicle. The victim is recovering.

The man runs across the street, shielding his eyes with his shirt, and the footage cuts off.
Police say he couldn’t see and fell into the street, where he was struck by a vehicle. He’s still recovering, HPD said.
