AUSTIN, Texas – A big name Texas attorney is joining the fight for answers surrounding the death of a 19-year-old Texas A&M student.

Brianna Aguilera of Laredo was found dead Saturday at the bottom of a downtown Austin apartment complex.

Police don’t suspect foul-play but her family is calling her death “suspicious”. Now they could be taking those concerns to a courtroom.

Aguilera died shortly after visiting Austin for the A&M football game on November 28.

Police don’t suspect foul-play but her family is calling her death “suspicious”. Now they could be taking those concerns to a courtroom.

Houston attorney Tony Buzbee is joining the fight for answers in the death of the 19-year-old Laredo native. She was in Austin on Friday for a football game. Saturday, she was found dead.

Police reportedly told her mother they believe she fell from the 17th floor of a friend’s apartment building.

Buzbee is most recently known for representing more than 150 alleged victims of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. In a post to social media, the aggie alum said Brianna’s parents retained him to figure out what exactly happened to their daughter.

“They feel certain this was not an accident. This was certainly not a suicide,” the post read. “This family deserves straight answers. We hope we can help them get those answers.”

“Everyone is shocked. We’re all, obviously, very very sad,” said Aguilera’s cousin Amabeli Fernandez; calling this a confusing time for their family.

On Monday, Aguilera’s mother, Stephanie Rodriguez said Austin police are considering the teen’s death as an accident, or possibly a suicide.

“No one really, that was around Brie, has given us definitive answers,” Fernandez said. “We really don’t believe the outcome the Austin Police Department is kind of going towards.”

Austin police have said they won’t be investigating Aguilera’s death as a homicide.

Buzbee says his office will hold a press-conference in Houston on Friday, December 5 to talk in-depth about the situation.
