It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Fortunate for holiday lovers in Dallas, the Christmas Capital of Texas is just a short drive away. Come the holiday season, Grapevine turns into a – to use a phrase you’ve probably heard a million times by now – magical winter wonderland. Now in the full swing of its 40 Days of Festive Fun, Grapevine is brimming with endless holiday entertainment – ranging from the epic Gaylord Texas Resort to Christmas trains, holiday venues, and much more!
One of its most magical attractions during the holiday season is the Peace Plaza Ice Rink. Located in front of the Grapevine Main Station, the “Rockefeller Center of the Southwest” is a Texas-sized ice rink. The magical winter oasis sits at the foot of an epic 64-foot Christmas tree, illuminated in the glow of twinkling holiday lights.

The Peace Plaza Ice Rink is presently open from now until January 6, 2026, except for Christmas Day. Admission to the ice rink is priced at $20 for all ages, skate rentals included. Guests are allowed to bring their own skates if desired. Times vary based on date, so we recommend checking out its website before visiting.
The Peace Plaza Ice Rink is located at 815 S. Main St., Grapevine, TX 76051.
If all the ice skating gets you feeling hungry, the Grapevine Main Station is home to Harvest Hall. The sprawling, 20,000-square-foot food hall features eight different concepts, including chef-driven restaurants, cafes, and bars. On occasion, the food hall also features live events ranging from live music, to comedy, DJs, and more.

If making a day out of it in Grapevine, we also highly recommend a visit to the Gaylord Texas Resort & Convention Center. The holiday destination is presently featuring its Elf-themed ICE! experience, a critically-acclaimed activation built with over two million pounds of ice.
The resort and convention center also features a sprawling Christmas Village. Here is something for everyone to enjoy, including but not limited to: a 6,000 sq. ft. ice rink, six-lane tubing hill, cirque-style Cirque Frost performance.
