LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A planned park in downtown Lubbock moved one step closer to reality Thursday.
The Lubbock Downtown Park Conservancy broke ground at the future park site near Broadway and Avenue L this afternoon.
The $12.4 million project, once completed, will feature a performance stage, family zone, art zone, food truck grove and other curated spaces for events and celebrations.
Construction is expected to take nine to 10 months.
