Cocktails for a Cause at The Kid

The Kid hosts a one-night Cocktails for a Cause evening, raising funds for Kids’ Meals Houston. Guests can sip two specialty cocktails – the Comeback Kid made with bourbon donated by Redemption Bourbon and the Kids’ Table featuring cantaloupe syrup and lime – with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting the nonprofit’s mission to fight childhood hunger. Children are welcome until 7 p.m. and Happy Hour food pricing runs until 7 p.m. 

Craft Pita x Barbacana One-Night Collaboration Dinner at Barbacana

Chef Raffi Nasr of Craft Pita and chef Christian Hernandez of Barbacana — former high school classmates turned Houston restaurateurs — are reuniting for a one-night-only dinner built around a six-course tasting menu. Expect a playful convergence of Middle Eastern and Mexican flavors, with both chefs showing off why their spots have become city favorites. Tickets are $100 per person.

B19 is kicking off the holiday season with a high-energy holiday edition of its signature monthly brunch party, Santa Le Brunch de Funk. Expect melted raclette, holiday cocktails and a live DJ spinning seasonal favorites and chic brunch beats. Guests are encouraged to arrive in Christmas sweaters or cozy pajamas.

Dandelion Cafe pops up at the Heights Clocktower for its first-ever Dandy’s Holiday Village, running 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can browse a curated lineup of local vendors including Leafloria, The Bake Happening, Buff City Soap, The Dragon Beans and more seasonal makers. Brunch favorites and festive sips will be available as you shop, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will stop by from 10 a.m. to noon for photos and family fun.

Houston’s Third Annual Pozole Cook-Off returns at Equal Parts Brewing, with ten competing teams serving up creative takes on pozole — red, green, and every style in between — all vying for the crown of Houston’s best. Your ticket gets you full access to tasting all entries, a voting token so you can help decide the winner, and — if you go VIP — bonus perks like early entry, a keepsake event t-shirt, a drink ticket and a bottle of the host’s signature michelada. Guests can also expect live DJ beats, vendors, craft beer and fun.
