AXTELL, Texas (KWTX) – A fire Thursday morning heavily damaged a home in the 1800 block of Longhorn Parkway.
Elm Mott Fire Department Chief Chris Pechacek told KWTX crews responded to the blaze at about 10:45 a.m. and encountered the home fully engulfed in flames.
No injuries were reported, but the homeowners had animals that didn’t make it out alive.
Firefighters were able to save some belongings.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
Firefighters from Waco, West, Ross, Elm Mott, Leroy/Axtell, Mart and Robinson fire responded to the fire.
