1. Texas A&M student’s death ruled a suicide, Houston attorney Tony Buzbee to represent family

The Austin Police Department has ruled the death of Texas A&M University student Brianna Aguilera a suicide. According to APD, the 19-year-old’s death happened in the early morning hours of Nov. 29, after a University of Texas at Austin football game against the Aggies.

2. Kerrville senior center reopens months after flood damage

The Dietert Center in Kerr County has reopened after 4 1/2 months of renovation, after the July 4 floods, and residents are happy to see it return. 

3. Over 100 stolen cell phones recovered after Halloween pickpocketing on Austin’s 6th Street

The Austin Police Department has recovered more than 100 iPhones stolen from unsuspecting partygoers over Halloween weekend. Pick pocketers targeted the city’s historic 6th Street, where one bartender says people are packed like sardines.

LEGO convention coming to Austin in January

Brick Convention will take place Jan. 24-25 at the Palmer Events Center with timed entry slots each day: one session from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and a second session from 2 to 5 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy LEGO displays and mosaics, a brick construction zone, tons of photo opportunities and vendors selling everything from small minifigs to large sets. The convention is also hosting a handful of guests, including contestants from the competition TV show “LEGO Masters.”
