Richland Hills PD has arrested a 25-year-old woman for allegedly stabbing another woman, who is expected to recover.

RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — A 25-year-old woman from Fort Worth was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly stabbing another woman in Richland Hills, police said.

According to the Richland Hills Police Department, officers responded around 2:16 p.m. to a report of a stabbing in the 6600 block of Baker Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old woman from Blue Mound suffering from multiple injuries.

Paramedics from the Richland Hills Fire Department and Fort Worth EMS provided medical aid at the scene before taking the victim to a nearby hospital. Police said her injuries were not life-threatening, and she is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect, who police said was known to the victim, had already left the scene before officers arrived. Investigators, with help from nearby agencies and automatic license plate reader systems, were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle a short time later.

Officers stopped the vehicle and took the suspect into custody. The 25-year-old was taken to the Joint Detention Center in North Richland Hills and faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police said her name will be released once she has been arraigned.

Richland Hills PD said there is no ongoing threat to the community, but they are looking to interview anyone who may have witnessed the stabbing. The department said anyone with information should contact them or submit an anonymous tip at 469tips.com.
