LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Mayor Mark McBrayer has designated Two Docs Brewing Co. as Lubbock’s official viewing location for the 2026 World Cup.
Team USA will play its first match in the World Cup on June 12 in Los Angeles against Paraguay.
“You heard it here first, Two Docs is Lubbock’s official viewing location for the 2026 World Cup, so come on down here,” McBrayer said.
Two Docs, located in the Arts District, is welcoming everyone to its taproom next summer to watch all of the World Cup action.
McBrayer spoke to the crowd about the influence Two Docs has had in growing the game of soccer in Lubbock. He also recognized why he chose the brewery as the official location.
“They’ve been very involved with the Matadors here in Lubbock, our local soccer team and it’s going to give soccer fans here in Lubbock a great place to gather together … who knows it may look like a pub scene out of Ireland or England or something like that before you know it,” McBrayer said.
Two Docs owner Eric Cunningham says fans can expect all available games to be showing in the taproom and patio. He said a special big screen TV will be on site for most of the games featuring the United States.
Local food trucks and entertainment will join in on the fun as well.
