SAN MARCOS —Lake Travis meets San Antonio Johnson in the Class 6A Division I Region IV final Friday at UFCU Stadium. 

Both teams enter the game with perfect records at 13-0, and the winner advances to the state semifinals against the winner of the Region III championship game between Galena Park North Shore and Dickinson.

The Cavs have beaten Round Rock 41-14, San Antonio Brennan 13-7 and Laredo United 41-7 in the playoffs so far. Johnson defeated San Antonio O’Connor 59-21, Hutto 56-27 and Cibolo Steele 29-28 to get to this round.

Johnson faces a third-and-10 from its own 44 to start the fourth quarter. After the teams combined for seven touchdowns in the first half, neither team had more than two first downs in the third quarter.

The teams trade punts again and Johnson has the ball at its own 20 trailing 27-19. 

The Jaguars take over at their own 43 after forcing their second turnover of the game.

After the teams trade punts, the Cavs have the ball at their own 33. 

Johnson fakes a punt on fourth-and-6 but a fumble causes it to lose 5 yards. Lake Travis takes over at the Johnson 47.

The second half is underway. 

After a wild first half where it trailed 13-0 late in the opening quarter, Lake Travis leads at the break.

Luke McBride has thrown for for two touchdowns and run for a score to pace the Cavs, while Elvis Estrada has 154 yards and a TD passing and 94 yards and two touchdowns rushing to lead the Jaguars. 

Luca Antoun has two interceptions and Vann Hopping has 103 yards and a TD on the ground for Lake Travis. Braelyn Allen has two catches for 107 yards and a TD for Johnson. 

Neither team has fared well on special teams. Lake Travis has blocked two Johnson extra-point attempts, but the Cavs have missed a field goal and an extra point.

The Jaguars get the ball to start the third quarter. 

After Vann Hopping races 76 yards to put the Cavs deep inside Johnson territory, Luke McBride tosses a 1-yard touchdown pass to Carter Buck. This is the second Lake Travis defensive player to catch a TD pass after Braeden Lott caught one earlier in the half. The extra point is good.

Cade Pantuso makes an interception at the Lake Travis 37 to give the Jaguars the ball back.

After a snap over the Johnson punter’s head sets Lake Travis up at the Jaguars 6, Luke McBride hits Braeden Lott for a 6-yard TD pass. The Cavs miss the extra point.

Vann Hopping scores on a 4-yard run for the Cavs, with the extra point giving Lake Travis its first lead of the game.

Luca Antoun makes his second interception of the game and returns it 50 yards to the Johnson 25 to give Lake Travis excellent field position.

Luke McBride’s 1-yard TD run puts Lake Travis on the board and brings the Cavs within one score.

Elvis Estrada sprints 52 yards up the middle untouched on third-and-4 for a TD to give the Jaguars a 13-0 lead. Lake Travis blocked the extra point. 

The Jaguars get the ball back at their own 31 after forcing another Lake Travis punt.

Elvis Estrada tosses a 99-yard touchdown pass to Braelyn Allen to give the Jaguars the lead. Allen got behind the Lake Travis secondary, caught the ball around his own 40 and outsprinted the defense to the end zone. 

Lake Travis can’t convert on third-and-1 and punts. The punt rolls all the way to the Jaguars 1. Johnson has the ball for the first time.

After a short return, the Cavs take over at their own 29. The game is underway. 

Johnson wins the toss and defers to the second half. Lake Travis will receive.
