The Texas Tech Red Raiders are the 2025 Big 12 champions after winning the conference’s title game 34-7 over the BYU Cougars on Saturday at AT&T Stadium.

It marks the program’s first Big 12 conference title in football, as well as the first under fourth-year head coach Joey McGuire after an 11-1 regular season, the school’s best record since 2008.

On the field, BYU scored the first points of the game, but the Red Raiders took control with 34 consecutive points after the second quarter.

Texas Tech QB Behren Morton led the way with 215 passing yards and two touchdowns (both to wideout Coy Eakin), while linebacker Ben Roberts snagged two interceptions as the defense held the Cougars to 200 total yards and forced four turnovers.
