LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Another mild day ahead for the South Plains on Monday. Afternoon temperatures will remain in the low to mid-60s as they were on Sunday. Lubbock’s Sunday maximum temperature was 61 degrees. Monday, I’m expecting a high of 62 degrees with mostly sunny skies.

It appears that mild weather will control the week with afternoon highs in the 60s and possibly 70 degrees on Tuesday and maybe again on Thursday. As you would expect, skies will be mostly sunny for the region until late in the week.

Nighttime lows will be chilly, falling into the 20s to low 30s.
Looking ahead to late week and the weekend, colder temperatures will return to the area as Arctic air spreads across the nation later in the week.
