COLLEGE STATION — The speculation and predictions have concluded, and the field is set.

A&M’s No. 7 ranking sets up a home playoff game for the Aggies against No. 10 Miami.

In Sunday’s final CFP rankings, A&M was slotted at No. 7, the same spot it was in last week’s projection. No. 1 is Indiana and No. 2 is Ohio State, following their Big Ten title game, while Georgia is at No. 3, with Texas Tech rounding out the group at No. 4.

A&M (11-1, 7-1) fell to Texas (9-3, 6-2) in the regular-season finale, costing the Aggies a spot in the SEC title game for the second season in a row, and knocked them down the rankings from the No. 3 spot they were positioned in all but two CFP projections. Five SEC teams made the field, an increase from three last season. Three from the Big Ten were selected.

Here is a look at the set CFP field:

In the 12-team format, the five highest-ranked conference champions earn automatic bids. The next seven highest-ranked teams are then included. A Group of Five program will be at least one of those selections.

As of 2025, those ranked Nos. 1-4 will get a first-round bye. In 2024, the first year of the 12-team CFP, the four highest-ranked conference champions received a first-round bye, regardless of their overall ranking.

Seeds No. 5-12 will compete in the first round. The higher-seeded teams will host those games.

First round bye: No. 1 Indiana, No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Georgia and No. 4 Texas Tech

No. 5 Oregon vs No. 12 James Madison (winner plays Oregon)

No. 6 Ole Miss vs No. 11 Tulane (winner plays Georgia)

No. 7 A&M vs No. 10 Miami (winner plays Ohio State)

No. 8 Oklahoma vs No. 9 Alabama (winner plays Indiana)
