The University of Texas fell just short of a National Championship spot on Sunday.
The Longhorns ranked 13th in the College Football Playoff (CFP) bracket. Only the top 12 made the postseason cut. The Texas team leaves with a final record of 9-3.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, this is the first time the Longhorns haven’t qualified for the CFP since 2022.
The Statesman also reported that UT would’ve needed to make the top 10 to move on after the addition of No. 20 Tulane and No. 24 James Madison.
