CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department arrested a man wanted in multiple states over the weekend.
CCPD said the Newark Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit alerted the departments gang unit on Dec. 6, about a violent suspect believed to be in the Corpus Christi area.
Police identified the man as 35-year-old Kevin Kistler, whom was reportedly affiliated with a violent prison gang and was wanted on seven active warrants across four states.
CCPD’s Gang Unit launched an investigation and ultimately located Kistler in the 6300 block of South Padre Island Drive. Officers took him into custody without incident on an outstanding warrant from Delaware.
Police say Kistler was also found in possession of a stolen vehicle at the time of his arrest.
CCPD continues to investigate the stolen vehicle, and Kistler’s other active warrants remain ongoing.
