Hill, a junior, had one more season of eligibility remaining, but has chosen to enter the professional ranks instead.
Named a second-team All-American by multiple outlets in 2024, Hill led the country with 16.5 tackles for loss last season. He was still productive in the 2025 campaign despite missing two games with an injury. He totaled 69 tackles with four sacks, seven tackles for loss and two interceptions. In three seasons as a Longhorn, he compiled 17 sacks and 31.5 TFLs.
Hill’s announcement did not specify whether he intended to play against Michigan in the Citrus Bowl, which is scheduled for Dec. 31 in Orlando.
In a graphic posted to social media, Hill thanked his “Longhorn Family” for embracing him since his arrival in Austin, as well as his teammates, coaches and family.
“With gratitude for this journey and excitement for the future, I am officially declaring for the NFL Draft,” he wrote.
