LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A former Lubbock County party chair is looking to hold office again. Gracie Gomez announced she has filed to run.
Gomez is running on a platform of organizational strength, community service and her own track record of leadership.
“I am running to restore the foundationional strength of our party and ensure we have the resources and organizational depth to deliver victories for our Democratic candidates,” Gomez said. “Above all. it is imperative that we restore trust, form a truly unified county party, and motivate our Democratic base to significantly increase participation.”
She held the party seat from 2020 to 2024.
The election for this position will take place during the next round of primaries, with the new chair serving a two year term.
