But sometimes? That goofy purchase ends up being the best thing you’ve ever owned.

The Shake Weight, The Brush Brush, and The Battery Daddy

Cliff admitted he bought a Shake Weight and truly likes it, but he couldn’t make eye contact with another human while using it. Robbie got himself a Battery Daddy, which not only organizes every AA in West Texas but apparently doubles as a questionable nickname. And Morgen proudly owns a “brush brush,” a tiny brush specifically for brushing…her brush. Honestly? Genius.

Waffles?

But the goofy greatness didn’t stop there. Jared swears by his $12 emotional-support waffle maker. Ashley downloaded a ghost detector app as a joke and then moved out because it went off in her kitchen. Larissa bought a hand-crank phone charger for camping and now uses it as a panic-powered electricity source when she forgets to plug her phone in. And one listener — proudly, not anonymously — said their best purchase was a light-up LED toilet seat that turns nighttime bathroom trips into a rave.

Dave LeCroy has everyone beat, though. He bought an “Ab Isolater” from a Tony Little commercial in 1993 and has been using it three to four times a week for thirty-two years. At this point, it’s not fitness equipment, it’s a long-term relationship.
