Lubbock’s Tumbleweed Botanicals (2319 34th St) recently made a major move- from a cozy spot in Cactus Alley to a gorgeous and much larger storefront on historic 34th Street. I stopped by on Saturday to celebrate the Grand Reopening and can say with confidence that Tumbleweed Botanicals is Lubbock’s most magical shopping experience.

What Tumbleweed Botanicals Is All About

Tumbleweed Botanicals began as a vision to supply Lubbock with natural, traditional herbal solutions for health and wellness, from freshly pressed Rosehip oil for youthful, glowing skin to the virus-fighting powerhouse that’s Elderberry tea, and beyond. Owner and herbologist Sue Gore-Berryman is an expert in the field (sometimes literally- hand clipping native prairie herbs with care and intention).

Tumbleweed Botanicals also offers other objects of care, wellness, and even just for fun. Think: a gorgeous and impressive array of crystals, perfumes/ incense, books, sacred objects, and… silly socks. I treated myself to a solid perfume, a body butter, lip balm made by Sue herself, a gorgeous Selenite crystal heart, and… silly socks. Silly socks are irresistible.

What to Expect at Tumbleweed Botanicals

Expect a curated and beautifully displayed shopping experience with shop “fairies” who are happy to answer any questions with expertise and a gentle, kind, and respectful customer service. Of course, if you prefer a quiet, introspective exploration of the store, they are happy to let you browse, wander, and dream as you will.

It’s an excellent resource for self-care and a beautiful source for thoughtful gift-giving. Christmas will be here soon, and I challenge you to dedicate some of your shopping budget to local businesses, whichever ones you choose.

It’s also just a lovely place to be. If you need a calm, kind vibe today, stop by the shop- you’ll feel it immediately.

Tumbleweed Botanicals also holds a special place for classes, events, and for personal readings. Readings can be booked in-store or on the website.

Congratulations to Tumbleweed Botanicals, my beautiful friends Sue and Ashley, and everyone else who brings the magic to this very special place. There are plenty of local places I love, but to have a place where I feel loved back is a blessing indeed.
