LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Texas Tech Linebacker Jacob Rodriguez was named the 2025 Lombardi Award winner Wednesday night. The award is presented to the best lineman or linebacker in the country.
This is the first time in Texas Tech history a Red Raider has received the Lombardi Award.
Along with the Lombardi Award, Rodriguez also won the Butkus Award, the Nagurski Trophy and the Pony Express Award with his teammate David Bailey. He now claims four national honors.
