The Original Roy Hutchins Barbecue plans to open a large restaurant in Arlington at the former Texas Land and Cattle Steak House location early next year.

The supersized restaurant at 1600 E. Copeland Road in the Dallas-Fort Worth area’s third-largest city will be the second Original Roy Hutchins location. The first opened in the affluent suburb of Trophy Club in 2023.

The new restaurant will be in Arlington’s growing entertainment district, near the home fields for the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers and other attractions like Six Flags amusement park and Hurricane Harbor water park.

The restaurant is well known for its smokey brisket, pork and beef ribs, as well as bacon-wrapped jalapeños filled with cream cheese and brisket, known as Texas Twinkies.
