From a menorah lighting to a home improvement exhibit, a variety of events will take place in Round Rock and the surrounding area throughout the month of December and all the way into February. Check out this noncomprehensive list of 12 area events.
Community Chanukah Celebration
Chabad of Round Rock will host a Chanukah celebration in Round Rock with crafts for family, an LED robot, a menorah lighting, hot cocoa and more activities.
Tristan Roberson at Music on Main
The country music artist will perform at Prete Plaza in Round Rock. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy the show.
New Year’s Eve Buffet and Party
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock will host an event for people to ring in the New Year, offering a buffet of holiday dishes and sweet treats. Dinner also includes drinks and a full bar will be available with beer, wine and cocktails for purchase.
January Pfreeze Pflop
The Pflugerville Park and Recreation Department will host its annual Pfreeze Pflop, inviting people to Scott Mentzer Pool to slide into frigid water. Admission will be free with a donation fo a canned food item to benefit local food banks.
Winter Pfest
The Pflugerville Public Library will host its annual Winter Pfest, featuring indoor winter-themed activities and games for families with kids up to age 10.
Martin Luther King Jr. Walk
The Round Rock Black History Organization will host the 39th annual Commemorative Walk & Celebration for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The walk, which the public is invited to participate in, will begin at Eagles Nest Street and end at Sweet Home – The Pinnacle of Praise. After the walk, a program will take place with keynote speaker Anthony Watson, Stony Point High School principal.
Austin Home Show
The home show event is designed for homeowners in various stages of remodeling, landscaping and decorating their homes. The event, which will be held at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, will feature home improvement and remodeling exhibits with demonstrations and interactive experiences.

The annual Daddy Daughter Dance has a “boots and bling” theme this year. The dance will feature a live DJ, professional photography, a dance contest and a giveaway for the daughters. The event will take place at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock. Early registration ends Dec. 31, at which point ticket prices will increase. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

The professional wrestling TV show, “AEW presents DYMANITE” will be held at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. Fans will get a chance to see AEW’s roster of male and female wrestlers show off their personalities, storylines and athleticism.
Family Winter Ball
The city of Round Rock will host an adaptive and inclusive winter ball for individuals of all ages with various disabilities. Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress for an evening of dancing, light refreshments and fun. Tickets are pre-sale only.
Harlem Globetrotters 100 Year Tour
The famous Harlem Globetrotters will take its tour to the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park, where the team will perform tricks, dunks and show off their skills.
Super Bowl Chili Cookoff
The American Legion George Johns Post 447 will host a chili cookoff for Super Bowl LX. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners. The contestants will cook the chili on site and must pre-register.
