ODESSA, Texas — The ACU women’s basketball team earned a dominant win last week over East Texas A&M.

Three Wildcats scored in double figures in that victory, and they’ll need a similar performance vs. Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders entered this West Texas matchup a perfect 11–0, looking to solidify their status as one of the top teams in the country, making it a tall task for ACU.

In the first quarter, ACU was down 10-7, but Payton Hull made an acrobatic layup to cut into the lead; she led ACU with 23 points.

Tech would then take a 27-22 lead, but Snudda Collins found Jada Malone for an and-one; Malone finished with 14 points, and Collins had seven assists.

In the 2nd half, Tech kept the lead, and Jalynn Bristow was getting rebounds, finishing with 9 for the game.

One crazy stat about this game: ACU had 35 free throw attempts to Tech's 7, but that wasn't enough for the Wildcats{p}{/p}One crazy stat about this game: ACU had 35 free throw attempts to Tech’s 7, but that wasn’t enough for the Wildcats
